Delivering a lecture can be exceedingly frightening. However, as with many initially scary things, if you determine some of the basic rules, you will easily begin to start improving. You can very rapidly become highly proficient with your lecture skills. If you have job interview or are in sales, it is a key acquisition to acquire.
Script out the story board for your demonstration and then work out what optical prompts you can use to signpost your talk. Powerpoint should be the aid and not the master. recollect to mark on your cards the visible aids that go with them so that the right OHP or slide is shown at the right time.
Work out how you are going to use your voice. You may even listen to voice-over artists to work out how you might make yourself sound even better. There are plenty of great voice-over talents out there. Think about what individuals hear and what sounds pleasant.
The radio set can be a great and cheap instructor of voiceover skills. If you think about it, most of the mortals on there would have been to some sort of sound coaching master class, so why not make a note of what they do and then re-create them?
Then think about your appearance. You should look smart. Your dress should not distract from your content, so Do not dress too sexily. There is no point spending a lot of time working out how you are going to sound and ensuring that your voice has been well trained to find that you have a strange habit of twitching or that you look worn-out.
Think about your body language. About 93% of the content that you drive home is based on the non verbal aspects of your substance delivery, so make sure that you have all the bases covered by conditioning the several aspects of your presentation style.
