The creator and the developer of the first mp3 player format have come up with a new music file format which will provide a lot of information regarding the song as well. It will inform the user of many different things such as videos, lyrics etc. of the song.
According to the developers, the new format, called MusicDNA, can carry 32GB of extra information in addition to the song. This information can be updated at the convenience of the user. The process is simple and all the user needs to do is to connect to the internet and interesting information like the interviews with the singers etc. will get added to the song. All the format needs is that the information should be available online.
Dagfinn Bach, the creator of this new format, recently said in a music conference that the format is dynamic and a very good thing about it is that it can carry a large quantity of the information which can be updated automatically.
While the format has been disclosed to the world recently, it will be launched in a beta version in the spring of 2010. It will be available in the market by the summer of 2010 in a full-fledged format.
However, MusicDNA faces stiff competition from iTunes, which not only provides extra information but also has the support of many music labels. Thus many say MusicDNA has a struggle ahead if it wants to control the market.
